Establishment of Dawn Foods & Flavours marked the arrival of a giant in foods and flavours industry. The company is the brainchild of founder and M.D., Mr. P.V. Gopalakrishnan, an inventor who with his innovative skills and pioneering efforts developed the company and the flavouring formulas for the purpose.

Formerly the company was Dainty Foods & Flavours, it was changed to Dawn Foods & Flavours in the year 2000 and was registered as a small scale industrial unit in the state of Karnataka. In 2001 Dawn diversified its product range and started manufacturing various types of industrial flavours and fragrances.
